What does the flag of Romania mean?
The three colours are said to represent liberty, justice, and fraternity. The current design is a plain tricolour, without the coat of arms that was present during the communist era.

History
The flag was re-adopted in its current form in 1989. The coat of arms of the Socialist Republic of Romania was removed from the centre of the flag after the fall of the Ceaușescu regime.
